Status of Council Activities

The following are the works that students' council has decided to pursue.Their status is indicated in the description.These have been discussed with the director at least once.

1)Coffee Day - We have spoken to the party and invited them to our campus. They came and spoke to the director along with TR sir and Harish. Everything is finalised! By October 15th we will have a coffee day kiosk opposite to the NAB. The best part is that since they have a tie up with Baker's inn, they will sell all bakery items also!


2)Pizza Corner - Prof. T.Ramesh(CSE Department),the in-charge for the new establishments in the campus has sent a mail for the franchise with complete details of our requirement.We are awaiting their response. ---- Pizza Corner have replied saying that they expect atleast Rs. 10000/- per day of returns as their investment is very high for a far off place like NIT Warangal. So, now they have officially dropped the idea.

3)SAC Renovation - The Project Engineers(PE) Office has taken up the renovation and was supposed to lay tiles in the ground floor of the SAC building during the last summer vacation.This delay was taken to the notice of the director and he promised its completion before the Golden jubilee foundation day.---- Work already started.

4)Drinking Water - The Plan is to purchase some water coolers and set them up in all the departments.Their maintenance will be given to Eureka Forbes as a contract such that they will take up the regular replacement of the aqua guard candles.----Tender will be placed after 10th Oct.

5)Gym Renovation - The plan is to purchase new equipment for the gym and make it air-conditioned.Three of the students' council members(3rd Year) have gathered the price lists from popular sports shops in Hydearabad.The matter will be forwarded to the director along with the quotations after discussion with the sports in-charge. ---- Director had a meeting with the sports incharges and instructed them to accelerate the process.

6)Wi-Fi at SAC - The SAC is not receiving any signals from the TAPS' Wi-Fi Access Point.Anjaneyulu sir(ECE Dept) has responded immediately and checked the situation near the SAC personally.The problem will be sorted out as soon as the transformer near the CSE Department gets repaired/replaced. ---- Delayed due to Internet problem.

7)Stadium Renovation - Three of the students council members(3rd year) are trying to find the details of a company 'Chemplast',which was appointed for the renovation of the stadium at IIT Chennai.Once the full details of the company are known,the sports in-charge will direct the renovation activity after the approval of the director.
